Illustrator-Zeichenflächen: die Möglichkeit in einer AI-Datei mehrere Seiten (Zeichenflächen) zu definieren (auch mit verschiedenen Papierformaten). Diese können auch in ein mehrseitiges PDF ausgegeben werden.

-> Illu CS4 kann jetzt richtige mehrseitige Dokumente erzeugen (wie FreeHand, RIP).

Save an InDesign Markup (IDML) document

In some cases you may want to save an InDesign in interchange markup format. It’s especially useful to save in this format when you open a QuarkXPress or PageMaker publication in InDesign, when you open a document created in a previous version of InDesign, or when you’re experiencing problems with your document, such as not being able to delete color swatches.

Das klingt mir recht vertraut: Speichere in einem textbasierten Format (wie MIF, RTF) um binäre Verwirrungen zu beseitigen.

To be very specific about this (and to hopefully avoid the seemingly annual “FrameMaker is dead” ritual), there are absolutely NO plans within Adobe at this time to discontinue FrameMaker in favor of InDesign. The features added to InDesign that are “Framemaker-like” are specifically per the request of InDesign users and have not been intended as a means of inducing FrameMaker users to migrate although that may be the unintended effect in some cases.

In fact, the next major release of FrameMaker is currently under active development with thoughts as to what would go into subsequent releases.
